Life Is A Highway Importance

Image
Cars and the song Life Is a Highway share a deeply intertwined connection, contributing significantly to the film's overall atmosphere and impact. The song, originally written by Tom Cochrane, gained widespread popularity when it was on the Cars soundtrack. The central theme of Cars revolves around the journey of Lightning McQueen, who finds himself stranded in the small town of Radiator Springs. The lyrics of Life Is a Highway align seamlessly with this theme, emphasizing the idea of life being a journey filled with twists, turns, and opportunities for exploration. Life Is a Highway became the musical identity of Cars, with its association deeply embedded in the audience's memory. Whenever I heard the song if it comes on through my phone or outside source, I think of Cars and Lightning McQueen. The song is prominently featured in key moments of the film, such as Lightning McQueen's cross-country drive and racing scenes. Its recurrence creates a musical mot...

Cars

Image
Cars is that movie and I still can't believe it got picked to watch for the whole class. I know when me, Max, and Jake were getting together to come up with a movie to wanted to have some fun during finals week and pick a more chill movie. It came down to Shrek or Cars and we picked Cars. I am glad we did as it is one of my favorite movies of all time and I feel like I have not watched it in so long. It has solidified its place as one of the best Disney movies of all time in my opinion. I think the best thing about Cars it is more than just a racing movie, it shares many valuable lessons. Lightning McQueen undergoes significant personal growth as he finds himself stuck in the small town of Radiator Springs. I think it was a cool journey for McQueen to get humbled and had to learn it's not only about him in life. McQueen had to learn about the value of relationships and the joy found in life's simpler moments. The details with Cars in different aspect...

Jaws

Image
Jaws not only redefined the summer blockbuster but also became a cultural phenomenon. Its unprecedented success at the box office which solidified Steven Spielberg's reputation as a filmmaker capable of captivating global audiences. The film's impact extended far beyond its initial release, influencing subsequent generations of filmmakers and shaping the way studios approach the marketing and distribution of major releases. Steven Spielberg showcased a level of filmmaking genius that transcends the boundaries of genre. The film's blend of suspense and character development remains a testament to Spielberg's visionary talent.     I know the movie was a hit in its time but I was not a big fan of watching Jaws in class. I have never seen Jaws before (yes I know that may sound crazy to some people) and I will not watch it again or recommend it to other people. I thought the first half we watched in film was slow and was interesting at times. I ...

Best Places To Watch A Movie

Image
Watching movies has been a popular activities along friend or families for decades in the United States and around the world. There are a lot of different places to watch movies and I will get into the variety of places. I will not rank them but I will talk about each of them individually.  In Bed - 7.3/10 This is a great option due to the fact that not a lot of people are going to be around you and probably the location you watch the most movies at. It is a comfy spot but it is a danger spot due to the fact if you get too comfortable, you will miss the movie due to falling asleep. It is a place you get to chill, probably at the end of the night and a place to watch a movie.  On The Couch - 8.7/10 I think this is the best option because any time you watch on the couch it is an experience whenever you sit down. It can also be with friends or family compared to a bed where people are not getting in your bed unless a select few. Family gathers or by you...

Likelihood Of Hanging Out With Cars Characters

Image
Here are the main characters in Cars, and on a scale from 1 to 10 in likelihood of me hanging out with them. I have reasons for each and everyone of them but there’s some characters I have higher some characters I’ve lower. Let’s get into it. Lightning McQueen - 8.7/10 McQueen is one of your buddies that was really successful out of high school and was famous from a young age. He is a good guy to be around and is always trying to find ways to be atop of his sport. Good hang but gives off frat boy vibes at time.  Mater  - 9.5/10 Everyone needs themselves a Mater in their lives. Mater gives off really good energy and cares about the people in his friend group and family. The only negative thing about Mater is he could get you into some things that could backfire.  Sally - 9.1/10 Sally is really high on my list because she is relatable. She is the ex you dated in high school that your Mom really liked and always asks you about. Sally cares about the town and the peopl...

Reflection On Group Movie

Image
I had a lot of fun making this group project with Josh, Max, and Jake to make a film about Fortnite.  Fortnite is a cultural phenomenon in the gaming world that serves as the focal point of our film.  Its impact extends far beyond the gaming community, going into the mainstream media, fashion, and even influencing popular dance trends. The collaboration with musicians, artists, and film franchises showcased Fortnite's versatility as not just a gaming platform but a dynamic cultural space. We wanted to tied this into the film and feel like we did a good of of it.  Josh came to us about this idea due to his love for the game and his high stats for the game. We all were on board from the start as it was originally the idea to do a document on the game. We did research that went into understanding the various facets of Fortnite. Before we shifted our idea to Josh being the main character of out film and having everything...

Likelihood Of Hanging Out With Get Out Characters

Image
Here are the main characters in Get Out, and on a scale from 1 to 10 in likelihood of me hanging out with them. I have reasons for each and everyone of them but there’s some characters I have higher some characters I’ve lower. Let’s get into it. Chris - 8.2/10 Chris will definitely be one of the boys. Definitely a chiller dude but always wants to have a good time. He would fit well into the friend group. And obviously not being afraid of anything. Rose - 7.8/10 Rose reminds me of the crazy ex that your friend dated in high school once and it’s always hanging out around Thanksgiving or Christmas time. Rose is  definitely a fun hang but gives off high school bully vibes. Mom - 2.2/10 I feel like the mom would be a terrible hang and she would talk about her kids all the time. I feel like we just wouldn't be able to get along. And if she brings that teacup around me like she does most people then we would not be hanging for very long or very well to say the least. Dad - 5.1/10 I f...
