Introductory Post

 


Movies are a great way to tell stories though cinema and are a media like no other. People love going to the theaters every weekend to see the latest movies come out and end up saying movie lines for years. I feel like a have a new movie every other week and that may be one of the best part about movies. You can like movies based off different movies or remember different movies based off your friends or family watching them again. My favorite movie right now is The Town. The movie consists of Ben Affleck,  Rebecca Hall, and Jeremy Renner combining to make a great movie set in Boston. This movie follows a love story with bank heists at the same time with also being funny. Everything I need in one movie with suspense, action, and humor is in this movie. 

I am taking this class because I am a communications and journalism major so this class falls under my major requirement. I also have interest in film so I do have an interest in this class compared to other classes, I do not have interest in like Biology or Chemistry. I do have plans and goals to work in the media field by being a sports commenter or sports analyst. If that is on TV, Radio, or Podcast which is many different avenues and ways to get into that field.

Likelihood Of Hanging Out With Cars Characters

  Here are the main characters in Cars, and on a scale from 1 to 10 in likelihood of me hanging out with them. Lightning McQueen - 8.7/10 McQueen is one of your buddies that was really successful out of high school and was famous from a young age. He is a good guy to be around and is always trying to find ways to be atop of his sport. Good hang but gives off frat boy vibes at time.  Mater  - 9.5/10 Everyone needs themselves a Mater in their lives. Mater gives off really good energy and cares about the people in his friend group and family. Cars

       Cars is that movie and I still can't believe it got picked to watch for the whole class. I know when me, Max, and Jake were getting together to come up with a movie to wanted to have some fun during finals week and pick a more chill movie. It came down to Shrek or Cars and we picked Cars. I am glad we did as it is one of my favorite movies of all time and I feel like I have not watched it in so long. It has solidified its place as one of the best Disney movies of all time in my opinion. I think the best thing about Cars it is more than just a racing movie, it shares many valuable lessons. Lightning McQueen undergoes significant personal growth as he finds himself stuck in the small town of Radiator Springs. I think it was a cool journey for McQueen to get humbled and had to learn it's not only about him in life.
