Movies at Home vs Movies in Theaters
Watching movies is one of the best activities to do with friends, family, coworkers, or significant others. But where you watch movies is one of the bigger questions or arguments there are out there today. Watching movies at home has got easier and easier now with streaming where some movies won't come out on the big screen, they come out on different streaming sites. Adam Sandler has a Netflix deal where his movies come out on Netflix and do not touch the theater. With COVID-19 and the pandemic, it has become easy to watch movies from home legally where before it was illegal. Another reason to watch it from home is waiting for it to come out on a streaming service if the critics are saying the movie is not good. There are a lot of factors when it comes to watching movies like hype, type, and audience. Hype is the number 1 factor for me when determining movies to watch from home or in the theater. Is the movie hyped up? Do you have to buy the tickets week in advance? Is this a sequel or a series with superfans? The biggest example of this would be the Avengers movies where all the marvels super heroes are together in the same movie. Infinity War and Endgame did big numbers in the box office and the movies were HYPED up for weeks and even months. Those were movies you had to see in the theater and had to see them right away. So the hype of the movie is a really important factor in the argument of where to watch the movie. Type is the number 2 factor or me when determining movies to watch from home or in the theater. What type of movie am I seeing? There are a lot of different types or genres of movies that can be a huge factor for me. If the movie has a lot of GCI or vibrant colors, I want to watch it on a big screen in the movie theater. My TV at my house is not big enough to compete with a huge screen in the theater and you have a better experience. Audience is the number 3 factor for me when determining movies to watch from home or in the theater. Audience is referring to who am I watching the movie with? There are certain people you can not watch or go to the movie theater with, and you know exactly who those people are either friends or family. When my mom watches a scary movie, she yell "DON'T GO IN THERE" so I can not go to the theater with her. There are 3 huge factors for me when I decide weather am I going to watch the movie at home or in the theater.
Your mom = me. LOL! Love it.
