Likelihood Of Hanging Out With Get Out Characters

Image
Here are the main characters in Get Out, and on a scale from 1 to 10 in likelihood of me hanging out with them. I have reasons for each and everyone of them but there’s some characters I have higher some characters I’ve lower. Let’s get into it. Chris - 8.2/10 Chris will definitely be one of the boys. Definitely a chiller dude but always wants to have a good time. He would fit well into the friend group. And obviously not being afraid of anything. Rose - 7.8/10 Rose reminds me of the crazy ex that your friend dated in high school once and it’s always hanging out around Thanksgiving or Christmas time. Rose is  definitely a fun hang but gives off high school bully vibes. Mom - 2.2/10 I feel like the mom would be a terrible hang and she would talk about her kids all the time. I feel like we just wouldn't be able to get along. And if she brings that teacup around me like she does most people then we would not be hanging for very long or very well to say the least. Dad - 5.1/10 I f...

Movies at Home vs Movies in Theaters

Image
Watching movies is one of the best activities to do with friends, family, coworkers, or significant others. But where you watch movies is one of the bigger questions or arguments there are out there today. Watching movies at home has got easier and easier now with streaming where some movies won't come out on the big screen, they come out on different streaming sites. Adam Sandler has a Netflix deal where his movies come out on Netflix and do not touch the theater. With COVID-19 and the pandemic, it has become easy to watch movies from home legally where before it was illegal. Another reason to watch it from home is waiting for it to come out on a streaming service if the critics are saying the movie is not good. There are a lot of factors when it comes to watching movies like hype, type, and audience. Hype is the number 1 factor for me when determining movies to watch from home or in the theater. Is the movie hyped up? Do you have to buy the tickets week in advance? Is this a se...

Jordan Peele’s Get Out

Image
Jordan Peele's, Get Out, is one of my favorite films and has the viewer on the edge of the seat though out the whole movie. Jordan Peele is one of the best directors in the movie scene right now and he makes movies different that everyone else, his own spin on things. The film follows Chris Washington who is a young African American man as he visits the family estate of his white girlfriend, Rose. There is so much happening throughout the film that suggests the ending but Chris slowly figures out what is happening throughout the plot.  As he spends time with Rose's weird family and their suspenseful friends, Chris begins to uncover disturbing secrets that reveal a sinister and mind shaping conspiracy. Chris's friend, Rod, tried to warn him about go to the whites parents house and it did not sop Chris. Chris went and the mom hypnotized him on night 1 to stop smoking cigarettes around his daughter but that was only the start. All the family's friends comes over and they s...

Sofia Coppola’s Marie Antoinette

Image
Marie Antoinette was a great film that we watched in class and I had fun watching it. Marie Antoinette is an Austrian women who turns into a French queen. The dresses were the thing that stood out to me the most because the colors were so vivid that it stood out to me. All the women had stunning dresses throughout the whole movie and whenever there was a big event, everyone had a vibrant color on. One of the most interesting things to me was the dynamic of the 2 men in her life, King Louis XV of France and Axel Fersen. Marie comes over to marry King Louis XV but the marriage is not what she thought it was going to be. King Louis does not show her love and they never do anything in the bed room. Marie's brother, Joseph II, came to visit and told King Louis that he has to do stuff in the bedroom. Marie and King Louis make love and have a baby together. But after that is when Axel Fersen comes into the picture. Marie and Axel meet at a party but nothing comes up until...
